The Clinton Foundation, the multi-billion dollar philanthropic organisation founded by former US president Bill Clinton in 2001, is to be renamed the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation to reflect the roles of the entire family in the organisation.

The Clintons made the announcement on 13 June at the third-annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative America, at the Sheraton Hotel in Chicago.

The new 911 coupe features a flat-six rear engine and rear wheel drive and goes from zero to 100 kilometres per hour in just 4.5 seconds – only 1,963 models will be made, to represent the year of the 911's launch.

Harry Winston, the luxury jewellery house recently acquired by family business Swatch Group, has paid a record price for a colourless diamond at auction in Geneva.

The pear-shaped 101.73-carat diamond sold for $26.7 million (€20.8 million) at Christie's Magnificent Jewels sale, where a total $102 million was raised and record prices were set for diamonds, pearls and sapphires.

The flawless diamond has now been named Winston Legacy after its new owner.

Luxury goods giant LVMH is sponsoring the digital restoration of classic 1960s French film The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, which will be shown at the Cannes Film Festival.

The film (a still from the film, pictured), which was directed by Jacques Demy in 1964 and starred Catherine Deneuve, won the Palme d'Or at Cannes in 1964. It was nominated for five Oscars.

LVMH says the move is part of its commitment to the cultural and creative heritage of France and Europe.

Education that revolves around play may sound like every kid's dream, and for some children in Billund, Denmark, it is about to become a reality at a new school founded by Lego.

The International School of Billund is the idea of Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, the third-gen former head of Lego. He is aiming to turn his hometown into a "capital of children".

The Kristiansen family's Lego Foundation will fund the project. The foundation, with a 25% stake in Lego Group, conducts and sponsors research into teaching and child development.

Prosthetics maker Ottobock has bought an 80% stake in Finnish superyacht builder Baltic Yachts as the two companies look at opportunities to develop products outside of their respective industries.

Baltic Yachts, which had revenues of around €30 million in 2012, built its reputation on its carbon fibre superyachts, while Ottobock is a market leader in carbon fibre prosthetics. It provided the official prosthetics technical service at the London 2012 Paralympics and had revenues of more than €500 million in 2011, the latest numbers available.

Istanbul has signed up some of Turkey’s biggest family businesses to support its bid to host the 2020 Olympic Games.

Istanbul has signed up some of Turkey’s biggest family businesses to support its bid to host the 2020 Olympic Games.

The country's largest family-controlled conglomerates – Sabanci Holding, Dogus Group, Yildiz Holding and Koc Holding – have said they will sponsor the bid with cash donations.

The companies also said they would use their marketing expertise to raise awareness of the bid among the Turkish population.
